It was all celebrities, music and fun at the 2008 ESSENCE Music Festival in New Orleans, LA, July 4-6. McDonald’s brought singers, actors, activities and more to the Convention Center, where thousands came to check out the exciting three-day festival.

• Rocsi and Terrence J from BET’s 106 & Park hosted the McDonald’s Big Mac® Concert Series where stars like MC Lyte, Carl Thomas and Avant gave unforgettable performances.
• Biz Markie was there to spin some tunes to get the crowd on their feet.
• Actor Pooch Hall hosted the Big Mac Chant-off, where McDonald’s fans got onstage to remix the famous chant.

In addition to soaking up the sounds, thousands of consumers stopped by the McDonald’s to get free samples, meet celebrities and create their own music video.
