McDONALD’S® CELEBRATION AT ESSENCE MUSIC FESTIVAL®
THIS YEAR WAS QUITE A TREAT
For the 7th year, McDonald’s showed out like never before at the 2010 ESSENCE Music Festival this past July. Thousands of people came, and each and every one was entertained with sweet treats, music, celebrity appearances, and more.
Record crowds came to live it up at the Ernest Morial Convention Center in New Orleans and visited the McDonald’s booth, where many sampled over 31,000 delicious real fruit smoothies and frappés. New to the scene, the McDonald’s McCafé® Men kept things cool and entertaining by taking photos with guests while introducing them to the new smoothie tastes.
Also, the “Deeply Rooted Scratch and Win Game” kept people on their toes as they answered McDonald’s questions about education, the brand, opportunities, and the overall dedication to local communities. Those who played were rewarded with a free McDonald’s Arch Card® or a stylish Deeply Rooted t-shirt.
Here are just a few more highlights from this year’s festival:
- Terrence J. served as an amazing host at the McDonald’s booth and kept our guests entertained
- Ginuwine, Keith Sweat, Cupid, and Bell Biv DeVoe performed some of their hottest songs
- Darrin Henson and Ronald McDonald® got the crowd moving on stage every day with the McDonald’s Dance Contest and also gave out some great prizes
- Plus, everyone got a chance to be in the spotlight and take Fantasy Photos that are now downloadable at 365Black.com
Make sure to mark your calendar for next year’s festival – it’ll definitely be something you won’t want to miss.
